Estate Trainer & Assistant | Warrenton, VA

At Pawtriot Dog Training, your office is a private 15-acre estate and your classroom is the rugged terrain of Pignut Mountain. We are seeking a high-energy, proactive member to join our team and master the art of "Real World Reliability."
The Residency: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
This is an on-site, high-intensity role. You will spend 25 hours a week immersed in our training philosophy and estate management.
• Estate Stewardship: You will lead the morning "Reset" — managing feedings, long potty breaks, and maintaining our 5-star sanitization standards.
• Technical Training: Working side-by-side with our Lead Trainer, you will learn to apply balanced training tools (E-collars, prongs, slip leads) with precision and compassion.
• The Training Blueprint: No prior experience? We’ll start your apprenticeship on day one, teaching you the technical skills to make any dog reliable.
• Content & Proofing: You will assist in capturing professional client content and leading "Adventure Hikes" across our 15-acre property and local trails.
The Path to Ownership:
We invest in our people. Once you demonstrate technical mastery of the Pawtriot Standard, you will graduate to an Estate Trainer role. In this phase, you will take full ownership of your own Board & Train cases on the property, moving from an hourly rate to a revenue-share commission model.
Requirements:
• Ability to work independently and maintain a strict 0800 start time.
• Physical stamina for daily hiking and handling active dogs in all weather.
• A "no task too small" attitude and a commitment to professional discretion on a private family estate.

COMPENSATION:
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position offering an industry-leading phased payment structure - hourly + commission split.
Phase 1: The Apprentice Residency
• Rate: $15–$20 / hour
• The Focus: You’ll be "Boots on the Ground" on our 15-acre estate, mastering the Pawtriot Standard. You will learn high-level pack management, estate stewardship, and the technical mechanics of balanced training (E-collar, prong, and leash pressure).
Phase 2: Estate Lead Trainer
Once you have demonstrated technical mastery and can deliver "Real-World Reliability" independently, you will graduate to an Estate Lead Trainer. At this stage, you move from an hourly wage to a Performance-Based Revenue Share.
•High-Volume Income: You receive 35% of the Net Revenue for every Board & Train dog you manage on-site start-finish.
• The Potential: While utilizing our premium 15-acre facility and established client leads, your income scales with your skill.
• Total Ownership: You will lead the transformation from intake to the "Go-Home" lesson, taking pride in the results you create for our families.
• Business Freedom: As a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes and benefits, while enjoying the ability to deduct home-office and training-related expenses
Note: During weeks when a Lead Associate does not have an active B&T case assigned, they remain eligible for hourly support work at the standard $15–$20/hr rate to ensure consistent income.

The Associate Trainer | Home-based

• The Home-Based Immersion:
You will host and train dogs at your residence for our 2–4 week programs, providing 24/7 structure and care.
• The Training Blueprint:
No prior experience? We’ll start your apprenticeship on day one, teaching you the technical skills to make any dog reliable.
• Unit Integration:
You won't be isolated. During every B&T cycle, you’ll join me and the hikers for a "Pack Proofing" session on the mountain to test your dog’s neutrality against the group.
• Social Storytelling:
You are personable and natural, capturing the "Beta" updates that show our clients the life-changing results you’re building. You’re comfortable with a camera and willing to capture all aspects of the training.
• The Home-Based Immersion:

I need an individual who is social and athletic, but more importantly, possesses a calm and confident presence. You are responsible for the flow of the day, from the client's front door to the heart of the woods.
• The Mission:
You will use your own reliable vehicle to pick up our graduates from their homes, meet the team at a pre-planned hiking location for a 2/3hour expedition, and then drop the dogs back home tired and happy.
• Reading the Pack:
You aren't just "walking" dogs. You are supervising a unit of trained graduates. You must be able to read the dog’s energy, take in the environment, and adjust your own presence to keep the pack balanced.
• The Anchor:
While you are social and friendly with clients, on the trail you are the "silent leader." We will train you to maintain the "Pawtriot Standard" of focus and neutrality through your own confident energy.
• Content Creator:
You’ll be responsible for capturing high-quality video of the pack on the move to share the adventure with our families and followers.
• The Mission:
