SERVICE DOG BOARD & TRAIN

SERVICE DOG JUMP START BOARD & TRAIN

Psychiatric service dogs (PSDs) are assistance animals who are entitled to federally protected rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Because of the important and essential service that they provide their owners, they’re permitted access to public places like stores and restaurants, and are also permitted onboard airline cabins and in living accommodations that normally don’t allow pets. However, in order to be recognized as a psychiatric service dog, an animal must be appropriately trained to perform the functions unique to their position.

Some of the most common psychiatric health conditions that necessitate the assistance of PSD’s include: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention

Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar, Social Phobias, Panic Disorders, Autism etc. In service dog training programs, around 55%-70% of dogs don’t end up being suited to it. Knowing this, all of our SD candidates go through a variety of personality tests that help determine their likelihood of becoming a SD.

Four-Week SD program includes:
Free behavioral/personality consultation, Boarding with trainer for 30 days, Introduction to a curriculum of skills customized for SD careers, Training equipment, 90 minute training recap upon graduation, Six-months of free 60 minute follow-up refresher lessons.

Option for certification: Advanced Canine Good Citizen

PACK WALKS & ADVENTURES

Training doesn’t end when your dog goes home. All of our E-Collar graduates and trainer approved pups are invited to enroll in our monthly Pack Walks and weekly Pack Adventures. During our Pack Walks, we meet with graduates of all shapes and sizes and hit the town for public distraction group work. During our Pack Adventures, we pick your dog up, take them on a four-hour adventure with our balanced pack, bring them home tired and fully fulfilled! These events vary in location and activity.

PACK ADVENTURES

Also known as "adventure days," only graduates of our E-Collar training packages and trainer approved pups who have a solid recall/basic obedience are allowed to join these events. These are weekly adventures that allow dogs to learn how to properly and respectfully socialize. Adventure days were designed with a dog’s psychology in mind. On adventure days, dogs get the physical exercise, structure, mental work, and unit with a pack that all dogs instinctively crave.

Adult dogs of all energy levels are welcome to adventure! At the beginning of each day, your dog’s individual needs will be assessed, as well as the pack overall. That will decide on our adventure location. Obedience and structure are implemented all throughout the day to keep all adult dogs stable and and able to focus on their handler when needed.

Offered Tuesday and Thursday of each week. Contact us for our current pick-up/drop off times.

We require that all adult dogs have E-collar training and obedience training through our training programs. In-person behavioral evaluations are mandatory for any dog that was not trained by our team. If you’re interested in setting up a free behavioral evaluation for your dog to join our Pack Walks/Adventures contact us today. Safety is our main priority. When enrolled in adventure days, all adult dogs are required to participate in one field day per week to maintain pack stability. The day does not have to be the same every week. Pickup and dropoff times vary by season.
